The 3 Gorges Dam, Sandouping, Yichang, Hubei, China. The Three Gorges Dam is a hydroelectric river dam that is currently under construction and expected to be operational in 2011. Construction started on the 3 Gorges Dam in 1994. Upon completion, the Dam will be the biggest hydroelectric power station in the world. With climate change and smog a major problem for China, this dam will go a long way to adressing the power shortage in that country. Great Wall of China in Winter

Stretching over 4,000 miles, the great wall of China, was built between the 5th Century BC to the 16th century to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire. It's structure, of stone and eathern fortifications can be seen from space.
